Wigmore Valley Park

We’re proud to share the successful completion of our civil engineering consultancy services for the redevelopment of the Wigmore Valley Park and surrounding open space at the Community Centre & Pavilion in Luton.

Delivered for Luton Rising, the project has transformed Wigmore Valley Park into a vibrant, accessible and community-focused destination, featuring a state-of-the-art skatepark and an inclusive children’s play area inspired by themes of travel and aviation.

Our involvement included taking ownership of the existing design and delivering it through detailed design (RIBA Stage 4) and construction support (Stage 5).

Key elements of our work included:

• Value engineering and development of the existing scheme

• Drainage and paved area design

• Extensive ground remodelling to accommodate the new children’s playground and seamlessly integrate the skate park into the surrounding landscaped area

• Support with stakeholders coordination

• Ongoing technical support throughout construction

The completed scheme now offers high-quality facilities for all ages and abilities, alongside enhanced landscaping, improved accessibility, and upgraded park infrastructure—creating a welcoming space for the local community to enjoy for years to come.
